Day 1: Uncovering Hidden Threats and Advancing Disinfection

The two-day event commenced with opening remarks from Ms. Tia Almachtoub, Product Manager at MSS. Setting the stage for a focused exploration of advanced disinfection protocols, she highlighted the broader vision of the event: “The goal is to establish a globally consistent EN and EPA framework for the disinfectant”.

Understanding EN & EPA Standards

To fully grasp the importance of this framework in evaluating disinfectants like TECcare R-FOAM, it is essential to understand the global standards they are measured against:

• EN (European Norm): European performance standards that validate disinfectant efficacy through standardized testing.
• EPA (Environmental Protection Agency): U.S. regulatory authority that approves hospital disinfectants proven to be safe and effective.
